Godawari, Lalitpur — July 11th
In a graceful departure from the intensity of kitchen routines, the students of IHM were treated to a serene day out in Godawari, embracing nature, relaxation, and camaraderie on a well-deserved training-free day.
Set against the backdrop of lush greenery and tranquil surroundings, the outing was designed to offer a refreshing pause from the culinary curriculum. Far from the clatter of pots and pans, the future chefs immersed themselves in moments of laughter, reflection, and connection.
The day included light activities, leisure walks, and shared meals—encouraging students to unwind, recharge, and strengthen peer relationships outside the academic setting. The event also provided faculty and mentors an opportunity to interact with students in a relaxed, informal environment.
“At IHM, we believe holistic development goes beyond kitchen mastery. This retreat was a reminder that balance, well-being, and joy are just as important in a chef’s journey,” shared one of the coordinators.
The Godawari retreat beautifully captured the spirit of togetherness and the importance of stepping away to return stronger, recharged, and inspired.
